As you know SSH ( Secure Shell ) is a cryptographic Network Protocol for secure data communication over the notoriously insecure network. The dependent properties to access SSH protocol is just to have a SSH Server and Client setup. In this post I’m gonna explain the steps to install SSH server in the Linux platform, moreover I’ll show you how to turn your Browser as SSH Client for connecting the SSH Server.

HOW TO INSTALL SSH SERVER AND CLIENT IN LINUX (Ubuntu) ?

Installing SSH server and client in Linux is pretty easy job, you have to enter the following commands in “Terminal” that’s it.

$ sudo apt-get update

$ sudo apt-get install openssh server   openssh client

The above commands will install OpenSSH Server and Client in your Linux box. But we are not going to use the OpenSSH Client to connect the server, instead we are going to use browser for connecting the server.

HOW TO ACCESS SSH IN FIREFOX BROWSER ?

If you are a Firefox lover, you can find the FireSSH browser plugin here. The FireSSH is a free, cross platform SSH terminal client for browsers, after Adding the FireSSH restart the browser. To launch FireSSH navigate to Tools menu and select Firessh option in the dropdown list to start SSH client in next tab or in new Firefox window.

you will get the above window for entering the credentials to connect the server from the Firefox browser.
